Our services

Handyman services for small jobs around the home

Some jobs are too small for a plumber or decorator but still take time you would rather spend elsewhere. We take on small domestic jobs, so you can deal with one person for the list of things that need doing.

Small jobs around the home

  • Fitting shelves and brackets
  • Hanging mirrors, pictures and curtain poles
  • Mounting a TV on a suitable wall
  • Fitting blinds
  • Fixing loose doors, handles and hinges
  • Flat-pack furniture assembly
  • Minor carpentry and fixing skirting boards
  • Replacing sealant around sinks, baths and tiles

Why use one person for small jobs

Finding a separate person for every small task can take longer than the job itself. A handyman visit lets you get several small jobs done in one go, planned around what matters most to you.

What we will not guess at

Some jobs need a specialist. If a job involves gas, electrics or structural work, we will tell you and recommend a suitably qualified person. We would rather say so than attempt something outside our experience.

How we work

  1. You tell us what needs doing, with photos if possible.

  2. We agree the job and an approximate timescale before we start.

  3. We carry out the work and check that it is secure and working properly.

  4. We clean up and leave the area tidy.

Handyman work across the SG postcode area

We cover all SG postcodes for small domestic jobs, including Stevenage, Knebworth, Hitchin, Letchworth Garden City, Baldock and the surrounding area. If you are not sure whether your job is suitable, call us and describe it.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do you do small jobs?

Yes. Small jobs are a big part of what we do. A single shelf or a dripping tap is just as welcome as a larger project.

Can you assemble flat-pack furniture?

Yes, we can assemble flat-pack furniture. Please tell us the item and how many pieces you have so we can plan the visit.

Do you do electrical work?

Electrical installation work is outside what we offer, so we would recommend a qualified electrician for that. We can help with the non-electrical parts of a job, such as fixing a bracket or a unit.

Can I book a handyman for a single afternoon?

You can ask. We will discuss what needs doing and how long it might take before we book the visit.

Ready to book or ask a question?

Call or email with a short description of the job, your postcode and any photos. We will reply to talk through the next steps.
